Recently, I linked up with a pretty interesting new venture called The Neighborhood Jukebox, created by some good people interested in promoting positive music and arts. It is an exciting concept where anyone can go and hear some safe, good music— and even vote on them, and provide listener feedback— and anyone can also become involved and submit their own stuff. The Jukebox features new songs and singers, as well as established singers, songwriters and instrumentalists. It is the go-to place for producers and concert promoters to find new or current talent. It has both demos and finished tracks. It gets songs heard and provides feedback from the public. In addition, it is a positive community of creative people and music enthusiasts that help and encourage one another. Additionally, at the end of each year, the top songs with the most views, votes and comments will be considered by a panel of professionals for the Best of the Neighborhood commercial CD release. Top ranking songs will be judged by a number of criteria besides votes, views and comments, ensuring a complete and fair chance of being recorded at no cost to the writer or artist. So go check it out at http://theneighborhoodjukebox.com/. I have submitted about 10 songs (there are already hundreds on the site), so look for mine and vote if you wish. There are some great artists represented. You may also want to check out some of my favorites, like Daniel Beck, Sam Payne, Jon Schmidt, Lindy Kerby, or Sara Lyn Baril. It is really an enjoyable place to explore. |
