I Love Life With You |

This song does not want to have lyrics. I have tried and tried. The music is simply the result of sitting at the piano when I was in a pensive mood and trying to let my feelings flow through the piano keys. This happened not long after we were married and it has become almost sacred to me ever since. I was able to add some words that might be considered the chorus, and I included them in this recording, but they almost seem too trite. For me, the music goes much deeper than words can tell (try listening to Maybe You Can Hear What I Feel). I feel that the song does better standing on its own – trying to duplicate the feelings present during its creation. My hope is that the listener can feel the love I have for my wife, Nicole. But I also hope there can be heard at times the contrast, perhaps even conflict, that exists in any relationship, but especially in this most intimate relationship of all. In spite of any challenges or disagreements, or perhaps in part because of them, our love will still be there in the end, and, Nicole, I really do love life with you. |
